Overview
This introductory course focuses on enhancing the quality and relevance of education in the field. It aims to equip future professionals in governance, security and political science with the right tools to understand, correlate in an ethical manner and expand data knowledge for social good. It brings together experts from different fields (IT, law, intelligence, communication sciences) as mentors/ trainers and it creates synergies between their different areas of competence in order to share the theory and applications of multi-use big data solutions, to increase awareness of both their usefulness and ethical implications within various modules specifically tailored to the needs of targeted professionals.
The new skills and competences that will be acquired after completing this course will ensure:
- A conceptual understanding of the analytical process – types of data and techniques required to express and analyze different aspects of the social system, understanding the methodologies that govern recent innovations so as to cater towards the needs of the stakeholders involved, the applicability and use of innovative instruments and technologies in the professional activity.
- Minimum IT skills to carry out specific tasks.
